GUIDANCE

My sister-in-law shared this with me today. I really enjoyed this. It is so true. I hope you all enjoy it as much as I did.

Dancing With God
When I meditated on the word Guidance,
I kept seeing "dance" at the end of the word.
I remember reading that doing God's will is a lot like dancing.
When two people try to lead, nothing feels right.
The movement doesn't flow with the music,
and everything is quite uncomfortable and jerky.
When one person realizes that, and lets the other lead,
both bodies begin to flow with the music.
One gives gentle cues, perhaps with a nudge to the back
or by pressing Lightly in one direction or another.
It's as if two become one body, moving beautifully.
The dance takes surrender, willingness,
and attentiveness from one person
and gentle guidance and skill from the other.
My eyes drew back to the word Guidance.
When I saw "G": I thought of God, followed by "u" and "i".
"God, "u" and "i" dance."
God, you, and I dance.
As I lowered my head, I became willing to trust
that I would get guidance about my life.
Once again, I became willing to let God lead.
My prayer for you today is that God's blessings
and mercies are upon you on this day and everyday.
May you abide in God, as God abides in you.
Dance together with God, trusting God to lead
and to guide you through each season of your life.
This prayer is powerful and there is nothing attached.
If God has done anything for you in your life,
please share this message with someone else.
There is no cost but a lot of rewards;
so let's continue to pray for one another.
And I Hope You Dance !

Reminiscing

I was going through pictures this morning and looking back. Trevor is 5 today!!! WOW. My first born turning 5. I can't believe it. Here is a picture of the boys March of 2007. They have both grown so much since then. I love this picture. I could just pinch Darin's cheeks and Trevor wanted this bandana around his neck because he is a "cowboy". Anyways just reminiscing. It was so cute this morning as Darin and I were leaving Darin hollared out the car window and said "Happy Birthday TREBOR (this is how he pronounces his name) and he actually said "I love you" and Trevor even said it back. I try so hard to get the boys to show some sort of love to each other at least act like they are brothers instead of sibling rivals. So it was a wonderful moment for me this morning. I just thought I would share that. They really do love each other it just is sometimes hard to tell. But Trevor doesn't want to do anything without including Darin. We are having Trevor's favorite meal tonight for his birthday - Spaghetti with mushrooms, salad, garlic bread and tea. Oh I was also informed he wanted a cake. His real party isn't until Saturday evening. So he is beyond excited. While I was getting ready he asked me if it would still be his birthday when it got dark. He is growing up so fast that I can't believe it.

I've Been Tagged

My friend Erica at "The Kennett's Krazy Life" tagged me.

I am a little slow at this. I am trying to get better as there are so many things that happen in our life that I want to share.

ABOUT ME
1. I love being a MOM. It is so much fun. Crazy and chaotic but when it is bedtime and I am laying with them putting them to sleep or they just look at you and say Mommy I love you it is definitely worth it

2. I finally got a new washer and dryer!! WAHOO!! I love it. It is so much easier to laundry now.
3. I love deer season and hunting with my husband and two wonderful little boys. Which modern gun season starts this weekend.
4. I have for the last month been sleeping in my bed without any children in my room. I have had a child in my room for the past (almost 5 years) mind you in a crib or toddler bed but still in my room. I conquered my fears with many sleepless nights but my boys now sleep in their own big boy room in their big boy bunk beds.
5. I am anxiously awaiting February when my brother will be home for good from the Army. I miss him so much that I can't wait for him to be here.
6. I would love to have a little girl.
7. My favorite hobbies are gardening and reading.

Halloween 2008

Well here is my Batman and my little monkey. Trevor was so excited about his BIG MUSCLES and Darin loved his pudgy little belly he had and the tail. We enjoyed Halloween so much this year. It was really fun. We started off having a party at Trevor's preschool which Trevor's teacher invited Darin to. Darin had so much fun being with his big brother at the party. They both really enjoyed themselves. The kids had so much fun and received so much candy just from the party. Mrs. Kristy had all of the preschoolers wear their costumes to school that day. So they partied in their costumes. And from there we were off to Berryville for Trick or Treating around the square. All of the businesses were handing out candy and they were giving hayrides around the square. So we got to have a hayride and enjoyed walking around the square seeing all of the other kids dressed up. I really had a lot of fun and the kids enjoyed it a lot. From there we were off to Green Forest to go to some friends houses and back to Berryville to finish off a Papa's house. The boys received so much candy it was absolutely crazy. I am posting a picture of them in their costume and hope to post more later. Darin doesn't look to thrilled he thought he wanted to go fishing instead of trick or treating. Trevor was beyond excited to get started. Hope you all enjoy

We are never guaranteed a Tomorrow

You know I received horrible news yesterday. A young man who had such a wonderful life going for him was called home. We here on earth seem to think when something like that happens or at least I do. WOW he was too young to go so soon. But our Savior has plans for this man. Bigger and Better plans in a far better place than here. But we as humans can't help but grieve for what could have or what we think should have been. We are never ready to let go of a loved one. So with this short blog I just want to say never leave with hateful words spoken, always be sure to tell your loved ones how much they really mean to you for we never know when we just might be the next one to be called home. And the most important thing of all I pray that each of you know my Savior Jesus Christ personally. He is our saving Grace so that we might have eternal life in Heaven.
